We love Rub A Dubs! This band have been doing their thang for many years in Norway, probably one of the worst markets for reggae in the world. We´ve been told that you have to give something to gain something. In that spirit we are giving away a track from Rub A Dub´s latest album «Frozen Light» We sincerely hope you enjoy the track, feel free to use the «buy» link to access more music (nudge nudge wink wink etc)

RUB A DUBS - New album

The amazing RUB A DUBS returns with 14 reggae tracks written and produced in the land of the midnight sun. Rub A Dubs presents reggae and lovers rock sprinkled with trip hop, electronica, jazz and soul influences, but still true to the Jamaican roots.

RUB A DUBS is an absolutely brilliant reggae band, their current line up has proven to be pure magic, and they have the audiences skanking, grooving, smiling and enjoying their set of pure, warm (& cool) and beautiful Rub A Dubs originals.

The new album is available for streaming (free) and download at

At the Bandcamp site we have also included lyrics and a piece on the phenomenon of Frozen Light

RUB A DUBS says:
So this is us, to the bone and for now.
Ladies and gentlemen, we give you….
On bass, John Lilja. Fast and furious. Even has a slow gear. Grounded and heavy. As they come.
Ruben Rott Dalen is the timemaster. Different drum and then some. Trombone as the Mighty Elephants call their mates and mourn their deceased. Who else but Arne Kolstad? Who else?
Saxophones region is Glenn Brun Henriksen.Power and fire. Wailing.Up comes the keyboardsman. Jan Petter Taarland is bubbling sharply. As is Børre Jacobsen on guitar. Sharp stabs and seagull soloing. Didrik “ El DID” Ingvaldsen is the thrilling trumpeteer. Walls of Jericho, go! And then Lone Ungar is singing and sharing her soul with us lucky listeners. Waiflike in stature, but of mother natures best. Vocalising, guitarplaying, musicmaking is William Helvik. Founding father of Rub A Dubs.
That’s it, so far
